There isn't a day that goes by that I don't love seeing and hearing about all the transformations taking place on the Dr. Cabral Detox...

I find it amazing and humbling at what people are saying -

Some people talk about their weight loss, others their health & wellness issues that have gotten better, and for some it's more of a mindset and lifestyle makeover.

They're all equally great.

Going Forward

As I said before, the Dr. Cabral Detox is like hitting the "reset button."

When you need it, it's there to stop the weight gain, poor habits, etc.

But, my highest recommendations is that you follow this daily meal plan:

1. Daily Detox Shake
 
(If desired, mix with berries, half almond milk, and other items like banana, cacao powder, greens like spinach/kale, flax seeds, or any healthy items that interests you.)
 
2. Whole Food Lunch
 
(1 handful of vegetarian or animal protein, 1-2 cups of vegetables, a healthy fat like olive oil or avocado, and add some sweet potatoes, quinoa, or rice if weight loss is not your goal.)
 
3. Mid-Afternoon Snack (optional)
 
(Only have a mid-afternoon snack if your dinner is more than 6-7 hours from lunch or if you need it for energy. Choose a handful of nuts, fruit, another Daily Detox Shake, or other healthy snack.)
 
4. Dinner
 
(1 handful of vegetarian or animal protein, 1-2 cups of vegetables, a healthy fat like olive oil or avocado, and add some sweet potatoes, quinoa, or rice if weight loss is not your goal)
 
Please keep in mind the smoothies make a fast and healthy option on the go, but the whole food meals can also be easy...
 
For example, simply choose a piece of salmon, a side of asparagus, spinach, a half a sweet potato and then drizzle it all with olive oil and squeezed lemon juice.
 
And since a lot of grocery food stores now have salad bars, making these types of meals can be quick and cost you the same amount as a sandwich and bag of chips.
 
No Excuses
 
As I said before, you can do this!
 
I find it important to just get your breakfast meal right and then momentum seems to carry most people to then eating well throughout the day.
 
And of course, be gentle on yourself...
 
You're human and slip ups will happen.
 
When they do, just get right back on track that next meal (don't wait until the next day...).
 
Day 9 & Beyond!
 
I love being able to help people as a Naturopathic Doctor and Functional Medicine Practitioner, but more importantly I've always just wanted to be a teacher.
